It is time to update you on some restaurants in the area. There is of course the Bildeston Crown where the food is back to being pretty perfect after the return of the old chef Chris.
Then we have the Hadleigh Ram,which is definitively worth a visit.
Relatively newly opened there is the Greyhound in Lavenham. They serve great pub lunches with a modern twist in a very authentic ancient pub.
The garden here at Mallary Cottage is maturing nicely and as the season progresses the summer house is certainly the place for your afternoon tea.

The second week end in September is once again going to host the great B Natural music festival. It is a great musical feast with live bands in the square and in musical gardens, one of which is here at Mallary Cottage, where we offer everyone a free glass of wine and some light refreshments.

We have had a busy winter this year. As Mallary Cottage was the Christmas house in the Suffolk magazine, even December week ends were enjoyed by my lovely guests, who got to enjoy the Swiss Christmas feel of the house.
Now that spring is here, even though it is a chilly one, the garden is looking lovely. The lavender hedges are looking pretty impressive. We have planted up a box cloud bed and it has matured remarkably quickly. The garden house is proving popular for afternoon tea and just relaxing in.
Quite a few of the guests have invited their friends to share the three course supper that can be provided and it would appear that they all really enjoyed the evening.
We have even had some very well behaved, lovely canine guests who also seem to make themselves at home here at Mallary Cottage without any problems.
I would like to thank all my new found friends for their support and lovely comments. It makes the whole thing worth while and fun to do.
